The Hampton
Oaks Hurricanes Swim Team
(HOST) is a member of the Rappahannock Swim League (RSL), a summer recreational swim league. Approximately 2,500 swimmers compete on
23 teams in the RSL in four divisions: Battlefield,
American, National, and Patriot division. In 2008, Hampton Oaks competed
and became the undefeated Division & Finals Champs in the Battlefield Division!
In 2009, teams in the Battlefield Division include Hampton Oaks, Grafton, Chancellor,
Woodlands and Aquia Harbor; we willl also have one exhibition meet against a
team in a different division (Curtis Park). The 2009 Season is our
11th year in the league.
The Hurricanes are the 2008 Battlefield Division
and Finals Champs! Our Team Goals are to:
Encourage and develop teamwork Enable swimmers to accomplish their dreams Have fun while developing a love for swimming Develop good sportsmanship The Hampton Oaks Swim Team is dedicated to the emotional and physical growth of its swimmers and to the morale of the community in which they live. The coaches, parents, and all involved in HOST strive to make swimming an enjoyable experience for all participants. We emphasize family fun and fitness through swimming, and strive to instill in our swimmers the value of hard work, good sportsmanship, self-discipline, leadership, a competitive heart and community spirit.
